Watch Shawshank Redemption film. A film “Shawshank Redemption” by Frank Darabont. The story begins with the trial of a young banker, Andy Dufrense, victimized by circumstantial evidence, resulting in a conviction for the murder of his wife and her lover. After a quick conviction, Andy finds himself serving a life sentence at Shawshank prison, with no hope of parole. He exists in this prison only in appearance, keeping his mind free from the drab walls around him. Frank Darabont didn’t need to put any kind of outlandish special effects to get us to love this film, the narration and the acting does that for him. The Shawshank Redemption and To Kill a Mockingbird) are the best movies I have ever seen. I do not judge it by it’s technical merits - I don’t really care about that. [..YouTube..] This movie is my favorite too, and I hate to say it - the trailer absolutely SUCKS. The music is wrong (they should have used the actual soundtrack just like every other trailer since!), the great voice over work by Morgan Freeman in the movie doesn’t work in this trailer, and the scenes they decided to show either do little to pique interest or reveal too much (ie - the rock against the sewage pipe).If the trailer was better, maybe people like me wouldn’t have waited years to see it!

[..YouTube..] Being a huge movie buff (which includes appreciating all aspects of movie making,writing, directing,acting, editing, lighting etc.) this has got to be one of the best movies I’ve ever seen, still to this day..on my top ten list, which is almost always impossible to come up with just ten! Nothing gets blown up to bloody bits, no stupid 8th grade moronic lines just raw human emotions and great actors/acting and Morgan Freemans voice, good Lord, that alone will make an impact!
