What might appear as a normal murder mystery is more. The acting, particularly from Robbins and Penn, is immaculate. Robbins is still recovering from child sexual abuse along time ago. People that have read the book say that it remains true to its pages and that maybe is the reason why things happen slowly and the end is not an absolute full stop. I was very impressed, since the tragic story of the loss of the youth is very real, full of human flaws, disturbances, prejudice and judgments. [..YouTube..] realistic in a sense, but you know throughout theres gonna be a twist at the end… i didn’t really resonate with any of the characters so in the end didn’t really care for the outcome of em’… and alota quick slang type dialogue is important to hear otherwise you’ll be confused about some of the characters relationships… worth watching, not one of my favorites though

[..YouTube..] Read it. Yeah, it’s contemporary “trashy” fiction, but is a GREAT GREAT book… Rarely do I cry when reading a book … take the time to get into it and you’ll finish it in two days like me.

[..YouTube..] I hope no one spams me for saying this, but I think the saddest movie ending, at least that I’ve ever seen, is to About Schmidt. I cried when he opens that letter and seess the painting. Though I Mystic River, the book as well. If you liked this or the book, read and watch Gone Baby Gone as well. Excellent story.

[..YouTube..] This movie illusrates the epidomy that is the Boston area. Stressed out people, corruption, scratch ticket addicts and drugs galore. Too many people and too many paranoia problems. The roads suck too.

[..YouTube..] I Think This Is One Of Those Movies That Has Great Parts And Boring Parts, But Terriffic Acting, But An Anti-Climatic Ending. Poor Dave. One Of My Favorite Parts Is When Sean Penn Says “The Last Time I Saw David Boyle Was In That Car Driving Down The Street” Or Something Among Those Words. Great Acting, O.K. Movie, An Everyone Shut The Fuck Up About L.O.T.R. It Deserved The Oscars It Got.
