Watch Psycho film. A film “Psycho” by Alfred Hitchcock. When Psycho came out, the horror industry of movies was merely monsters, zombies, werewolves, and vampires. So when Psycho hit screens, the audience was finally introduced to psychological thrillers. Anthony Perkins’ skillfully crafts his performance as Norman Bates, avoiding a ranting, raving, drooling, murder-happy, manic characterization; instead his performance as Norman is subtle, creepy, cool, and unsettling. Is it the best Hitchcock movie? It’s definitely one of his best, right up there with “The 39 Steps” and “Strangers On A Train” and “Sabotage” and “Shadow Of A Doubt. John Gavin was ok, but nothing to brag about. Hitchcock made a wise decision in filming the movie in black and white, and made history when he demanded that no one be let into the theater after the movie started in order not to cause confusion. [..YouTube..] This version was made out of nothing but respect for the original. Pat Hitchcock said it was flattering, and it dedicated in memory of Hitchcock at the end of the credits. Give it a generation, it will be seen as a classic, misunderstood by it’s time.

[..YouTube..] Erm… it was a shot-by-shot remake… only it didn’t have the talented actors the original had, who delivered lines with perfect chemistry and timing. This movie will be forgotten. It didn’t need to happen. The film maker was trying to respect Hitchcock, but the result wasn’t good.

I thought it was interesting seeing differnt colors, and a few new changes. It could have been worse, even for a shot by shot remake. This trailer is also pretty scary! It’s hard to believe this movie came out almost 10 years ago, wow.

[..YouTube..] I think you guys don’t like vince vaughn as norman bates because he’s been in ridiculous stuff since then like wedding crashers, so its hard to take him seriously. I’ve never seen the remake movie myself (and don’t want to because it is simply WRONG to remake a classic Hitchcock film) but to me, vince vaughn at the time may have been a good choice. He does have that same creepy look like anthony perkins. But from the looks of it, this movie could have been done a million times better.
