Romeo And Juliet - watch free
Watch Romeo And Juliet film. A film “Romeo And Juliet” by Franco Zeffirelli. I have seen multiple versions of R&J, from the 30’s version, with Leslie Howard (in his 40’s I think) & Norma Shearer, to the most recent thing with DeCaprio & Danes. Every scene, practically every frame of this movie is brilliant. Director Zeffirelli went against the ancient practice of using older actors in the title roles, and the performances he elicits from teenagers Whiting and Hussey is amazing. The thing that shook me most the first time I saw it was that, in spite of the Shakespearian language, I got the meaning of the characters’ statements immediately. Tybalt is after all just a petulant child - he’s no evil tyrant, just a misguided bully, who certainly doesn’t deserve to die. I love that his killing of Mercutio is accidental and that he seems to show remorse for it. Here everything reeked of youth underlining the tragedy in the most cinematic way. Another important point is to confirm that in 2007 the film still feels young and fresh. Watch Romeo And Juliet (1968) film online.

This movie is simply beautiful [yes I cried again]. The acting was really good. [..YouTube..] Huh? The 90s version has some interesting visual stuff… but that’s about it. The two leads DiCaprio and Danes sound boring like 2 WB stars saying their lines. I mean Shakespeare may as well NOT have written it. Plus the 60s version really went out on the limb casting 2 teenagers, which changes the story, Juliet is NO cliche in THAT one, AND they can BOTH handle the language. It’s also visually stunning in it’s own way.However if you don’t like the Bard that much you won’t like this.
