Landon has to do math tutoring for resistant kids, perform janitorial duties around his high school, and perform in the school play. An impossible blend of strength, integrity, natural beauty, youth, feistiness, femininity and vulnerability – Mandy Moore delivered a performance so genuine and moving it totally stunned me. Although for anyone that has actually read the book, like myself, you catch a lot of the differences between the book and the movie, and in your own way you can note what could have made the film a lot better than how good it was.
