Working at a movie theater as a projectionist, I have the opportunity to watch basically every movie that comes out. Combining a sweltering Southern setting, blood and guts blues riffs, and a little unexpected Bible imagery, Brewer has definitely given this film a style of its own and an atmosphere that’s as effective as the actors in telling this strange little tale of love and redemption. It’s put together really well and doesn’t take itself too seriously. Thats the beauty of it. I think this is his best performance since his role in Pulp Fiction, and probably his best including that because of the range of his character in BSM. The idea of a black man chaining a white woman up in his house is enough to make most people not even consider seeing it. If the course stays true or if it falls back into darkness, no one really knows, but at least they can say that they tried as hard as they could. Watch free full Black Snake Moan film online.

[..YouTube..] This movie was sooooo badly advertised. It looks so twisted and bad from the posters (it’s always hotter down south… REALLY?) but it’s actually really good. The characters are well developed and it has one of the best soundtracks around. I’d highly suggest that you don’t judge it by the “naked white girl chained up in your house” thing.

[..YouTube..] Man, time flies. It was five years ago, this month since I saw this at first release (March 2007). Black Snake Moan is still a solid film. Underrated performances.
[..YouTube..] I’ve been wanting too see this movie for so many years and finally they showed it on tv last night!! Even though it was 2am and I had to get up early I didn’t care, I had to see it!! It’s so much better than I even imagined it would be… The way that the state of emotions are put together with the raw heat, music and atmosphere of the south is just so beautifully made! Definitely definitely on my favorite list!
