A story that rather falls in the background by what you get to see. This is not a parody of a B-movie, this is the real deal, long drawn out scenes of lesbianism, cat fights, abuse to any male unfortunate enough to come across our three gorgeous, big breasted anti-heroes, 007 gadgets as well as flashbacks reminiscent of Pulp Fiction. This film is so much fun, and is going to attracked a cult following. I am so glad that there wasn’t any comments before going into the film, and that is why I am just typing and not commenting on what took place, because to go into a film not expecting something and come out with this pleasure of seeing a film that was so well done, is the best feeling in the world. Have to also give great Koodos to the music in the film, I am actually looking forward for the soundtrack, it definitely complimented the ambiance and overall mood of the film. I thought that there was really good chemistry between the two main characters. I liked the film for its well conveyed message about commitment and what it means to care for people. The performances were good, I especially enjoyed Michael Douglas’s glam OTT character. The main actors also impressed and I was drawn into their romance as the film went on. So much so that I shed a little tear at the end. You don’t need to be a big fan of Mattew McConaughey to see this movie, but it would helps. Little to no surprises in the plot, but then who ever sees romantic comedy for the plot? I had some good laugh. Michael Douglas is great and so funny but I think he is being wasted with so little participation and Jennifer Garner is convincing enough in her role as Jenny Perotti. This was made once Scream made teen slasher movies cool again. However here there is none of the ironic humour or self-referencing that made Scream good. Four high school friends have graduated and are celebrating the fourth of July. They all have big plans: Julie is planning to go to Harvard, Helen is going to New York to become an actress, Ray is staying in town to help with the business of fishing, and Barry has a wrestling scholarship. I don’t see why everybody bags on it all the time!It wasn’t horrible people!The celebrities had the best characters I have seen in a horror movie and they pulled them off. I would say “I Know What You Did Last Summer” is easily the best of the bunch. Great script, fantastic directing and an all star teen cast. The storyline was terrible, the dialogue was predictable and the characters were as if plucked straight from other movies. Sarah Jessica Parker and Hugh Grant are the couple who reconstruct their love on the foundation of a violent death, and their acting is even more abysmal than expected. The two about bear and horse are OK, but even those two are not funny in the movie with bad begin or end lines. The movie is so bad that during the last hour I actually wanted the killer won and kill both of the Morgans. I could barely sit through it and I am a big fan of both lead characters. I also realized I am sick to death of romantic comedies and refuse to give my money to any more. But I still love him, I just really think he should stick to British movies.
