Watch A Mighty Heart film. A film “A Mighty Heart” by Michael Winterbottom. This is an intimate film. Basically a love story set in the political wreckage after the attack on the World Trade Center. As such, we don’t get much detail about the different factions in Pakistan or who is “good” or “bad”. the power of the camera which moves across the streets of Karachi and into the homes of its citizens, creates a pulse that moves the film forward with both excitement, dread and fear. Fear for not only Daniel Pearl’s life, but for many victims of the destructive nature of terrorism the world over. A Mighty Heart is a story that is tough to experience, but also one needing to be seen. There are few things that I can say went wrong with the film, and although I may never have the necessity to view it again, I’m glad I took the time to sit down with this tale of hope, compassion, and life in the midst of devastating tragedy.
