The pace never lets up for a moment and Brendan Gleeson is both outstanding and utterly convincing in his portrayal of the morally complex anti hero Sergeant Boyle. Gleeson and Cheadle spar well and develop a likable relationship, despite this it’s not the heart of the movie. Brendan Gleeson is wonderful as a the corrupt but honest cop Boyle, while Strong and Cheadle make great straight men against the weirdness of the film. Despite many comic moments the overall tone is quite dark. Characters are introduced at the start and meet unexpectedly grisly endings. I’ve never seen a movie that I knew every single place and were every scene was shot. Watch free full The Guard film online.
